Long Beach Lodge Wedding Tofino || Kara & Travis

Being a full-time photographer in Tofino, I photograph a lot of weddings each year. Kara and Travis's wedding at Long Beach Lodge was one of my absolute favourite weddings of ALL TIME. Every now and then a really special wedding comes along for me and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. This was definitely one of those weddings for me. There was so much love between the couple and their son, and their families and friends, it was incredible. Kara and Travis live in Vancouver, but decided to have their wedding in Tofino because of Kara's love for this coast. She came here ever year as a little girl with her parents and her sister.

We had decided to shoot the portraits in the evening after dinner so that we could get the soft golden hour light as well as the sunset. Guess again! The sun was out for the entire morning and early afternoon ceremony but the fog rolled in heavily after dinner. Travis, Kara and I hopped in my truck and went to Long Beach and the beauty took our breath away upon our arrival. The fog was absolutely stunning and there was no one else on the entire beach! We were so excited to take pictures on the deserted beach and the pictures were some of my favourite of the entire season. That's the thing about getting married in Tofino, no matter what the weather is doing, this place is so incredibly picturesque. Thank you so much Kara & Travis for including me in your special day!
